Our Exciting News!

If you are friends with me on Facebook, you probably saw our video and heard our news! We are so excited to announce that...

Henley will be a big sister!!

You should be able to watch the video here

We found out on December 4th that we were expecting, and we could not have been more surprised and more excited! I had not been feeling quite right (nauseous all day) for about two weeks, and I kept making plans to either buy a pregnancy test or have been buy one on his way home, but then I would cancel because I just didn't think there was any way possible that we could be pregnant. Well, I was definitely wrong!

I finally bought one on my way home from seeing a former student, and that stick showed pregnant IMMEDIATELY!! ha I was floored! After our miscarriage in September, we couldn't try in October and we weren't really trying in November because we weren't sure about our insurance and just wanted to be careful. Well, the Lord had other plans and surprised us with a beautiful gift...exactly what we needed!!

I am due July 24th! I have a feeling that I will be in the pool from the beginning of May (or whenever it gets hot) to the day I go into labor! I already told the family I tutor for that I might just buy a big ole' whale floatie and camp out in their pool as the floating whale! :)

I will definitely keep the blog updated on my pregnancy and give you some fun bump pictures as well. I am for sure bumpin' already, but it's not super noticeable to others yet...unless you see me at the gym. I'm pretty sure you can tell when I do my squats and modify those ab exercises! I am showing earlier than I did with Henley, but that's to be expected! I thought I was showing WAY more, but I feel like I'm about where I was at the 20 week mark with Henley, and I'm 15 weeks right now. Not too big of a difference!!

I have felt mostly normal throughout the whole first trimester. Thank you, Lord! I was definitely nauseous all the time before I found out, but after I was aware of it, I just supplemented with snacks and seemed to feel better. I was also exhausted, but I am just going to assume that that isn't going to go away too much since I now have a busy toddler running around. I have definitely gotten some energy back, especially in regards to working out. I kept up my normal workout routine from the very beginning, but my body let me know that I needed to slow down before I even knew I was pregnant. I thought it was just all the holiday food, but I'm happy to say it was a baby!

I can't wait to share more of this pregnancy with you! We are all so excited and can't wait to find out what we are having in a couple short months!!
